UN - Rebukes Israel Over Gaza

“The occupying power may never invoke reasons of security to justify the general suspension of all humanitarian activities in occupied territory,” Judge Iwasawa Yuji said while delivering the opinion, which also said Israel is obliged to ensure the basic needs of civilians in Gaza are met. “After examining the evidence, the court finds that the local population in Gaza Strip has been inadequately supplied.”

Israel’s ambassador to the UN criticized the court’s opinion as “shameful.”

The US State Department called the opinion “corrupt” and claimed that it “unfairly bashes Israel and gives UNRWA a free pass for its deep entanglement with and material support for Hamas terrorism.”

Israeli officials have accused the UN court of being politicized and weaponized against Israel.

“They are blaming Israel for not cooperating with UN organs … They should be blaming themselves. Those organs became breeding grounds for terrorists,” Danny Danon, the Israeli ambassador to the UN, claimed in response to the opinion, which he described as a “political document.”

Commentary: That the UN and its affiliated organizations have targeted Israel in particular is a matter of fact.

The Jerusalem Post quotes: “IDF confirms some 70,000 Gazans died in Israel-Hamas war, none from starvation.” This statement is reconfirmed by the following facts:

According to the IDF, throughout the war, 112,000 aid trucks were brought into Gaza, including 1,700,000 tons of food, as well as 1,800,000 tents and tarpaulin covers. During this time, 600,000 children received polio vaccinations.

Currently, 16 field hospitals are operating, and over the course of the war, 9,600 tons of medical items have been brought into Gaza.

During the same period, 5,000 international aid workers entered the Strip, while 42,000 Gazans exited to a third country to receive health treatment or travel using their dual citizenship status.

Furthermore, reliable sources document that Hamas confiscated many trucks loaded with food for their own use.

Hamas, the instigator of the Gaza War, is designated by various governments as a terrorist organization; this is a fact. Quite apparently, not so where the UN is concerned. “While various UN officials, including Secretary-General António Guterres, have condemned the ‘abhorrent acts of Hamas’ and called for release of hostage, official UN General Assembly resolutions (such as on October 27, 2023) failed to explicitly condemn Hamas or name them as the instigator of the conflict.”

Here the words of 2 Timothy 4:4: “And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
