ITALY - Bans Burqas, Niqabs in Schools

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said she’ll soon introduce a measure to her government that would cap the number of foreign students in classrooms and ban the wearing of burqas and niqabs in schools.

“For us, anyone who comes to Italy and wants to build their future here must learn our language, understand our culture, and respect our rules,” she said to a standing ovation at the Gioventù Nazionale national festival in Rome. “It is the only serious way to welcome them.”

But Meloni didn’t mention the hijab, the headscarf worn by some Muslim women.

Meloni’s conservative administration became Italy’s longest-serving uninterrupted government since World War II.

Commentary: Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni reveals the tendency of Europe at large: Reduce immigration, and those who are allowed to enter Europe must show willingness to integrate into the culture of the host country.

There seems to be a level of contradiction in this development: opposing immigration to some degree, but the European states desperately need foreign workers. The facts are very simple: Europe has an ageing population and low birth rate; thus, fewer local workers to support the economy. “The Europe Union actively needs foreign workers to fill critical labor shortages across many industries to offset the rapidly ageing population,” according to a Google search.

But so do most nations in the European world, which includes America (North and South), Australia, much of Africa, and significant portions of Asia. According to Wikipedia, foreign-born residents in Austria make up 25.2% of the population, Germany 21.3%, France 18.8%, and the UK 17.5%.

Contrary to popular belief, only 15.3% of the US population is listed as being foreign-born. Will the industrial world stop the flow of immigrants? Very unlikely. They may not be appreciated by the population at large, but they are urgently needed.

Furthermore, this is part of Bible prophecy, clearly demonstrating the unity of the nations of the world. Biblically, we are convinced that this process will continue, because Antichrist—who rules planet earth and is the god of this world—must mimic the Church of Jesus Christ. Here we quote Galatians 3:28: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”
