FRANCE - Gaza Residents Granted Refugee Status

All Palestinian nationals from the Gaza Strip who are not protected by the United Nations can receive refugee status in France because of “the risk of persecution by the Israeli armed forces,” the nation's National Court of Asylum (CNDA) ruled.
[The] decision was made under the 1951 Geneva Convention “because of the methods of warfare used by Israeli forces since the end of the ceasefire concluded on 19 January 2025 in March 2025.”
In reaching this conclusion, CNDA relied on available public sources, in particular reports by UN bodies. It concluded that Israel’s methods of warfare, “which directly and indiscriminately affect the entire civilian population of Gaza” are “sufficiently serious [to be considered] as acts of persecution.”

Commentary: This report is not unusual, since it involves the United Nations, known for their excessive anti-Israel stances in the past.
A Google search reveals: “The UN’s condemnation of Israel is disproportionately high compared to other countries, with a focus on its actions in the Palestinian territories, particularly regarding settlements and the occupation. This is evidenced by the sheer number of resolutions passed against Israel, especially in the UN Human Rights Council, compared to other nations with human rights concerns. While the UN has condemned various countries for human rights violation and other issues, the persistent focus on Israel stands out.”
That Gaza residents have suffered during this war is not in question, but it is equally true that the population of Gaza at large sympathizes with the murderous Hamas terrorists. Many are definitely guilty of harboring them in their homes; thus, becoming cooperators with the terrorists.
From the Bible, we know that Israel’s enemies of old were the Philistines. Some 2,800 years ago, the prophet Amos proclaimed: “Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom: But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof” (Amos 1:6-7).
It was in September of 2005 when Israel dismantled over 21 settlements in Gaza and removed all troops from the Gaza Strip entirely. But with their newfound sovereign autonomy, instead of developing their society and economy, their leaders unceasingly continued to indoctrinate their residents with anti-Jewish propaganda and hate. The Hamas leadership of Gaza has one publicly declared goal: the eradication of the Jewish State.
In this relationship, it is good to read what the heathen prophet Balaam proclaimed: “God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows. He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee” (Numbers 24:8-9).
