NETHERLANDS - Moves Gold to London

The Dutch central bank (DNB) has confirmed that billions of dollars in gold has been taken out of North America and relocated to London, citing “increasing geopolitical unrest.”

DNB said that 86 tons of gold had been removed from the US and Canada in a complex operation that took several months. It is now being held by the Bank of England, where the precious metal can be traded more easily “in a crisis situation.”

DNB did not confirm what it was referring to with its mention of “geopolitical unrest” but the US economy remains in an uncertain position due to the country’s ongoing war with Iran, which has impacted global trade.

DNB said that gold that is held with the Bank of England “is regarded as the world’s most easily tradable gold,” and therefore more readily available in a crisis than if it was still in the US or Canada.

Commentary: The reason for moving the Netherlands’ gold is “increasing geopolitical unrest.”

The world’s top five gold-owning countries per capita:

1. Switzerland 115.4 grams

2. Lebanon 48.6 grams

3. Italy 41.6 grams

4. Germany 40 grams

5. Portugal 36.8 grams

For the USA, it is approximately 23.9-26.1 grams per person.

When researching various sources that keep such information, something strange seemed to occur: Israel is never mentioned.

A Google search reveals:

Taxation of Precious Metals in Israel: Unlike the United States and Europe. Israel views gold and silver as a commodity having no investment or monetary value and as such, our Tax Authorities have placed significant Customs Taxes on the import of precious metals into the country.

Job Restrictions: In medieval Europe, laws stopped Jews from owning land or joining normal worker groups. Rulers forced them into jobs like trade, money lending, and medicine. These jobs required reading, math, and strong communication skills.

That seems somewhat significant prophetically when we examine the words of our Lord Jesus: “Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?” (Matthew 23:16-17).
