ISRAEL - Drone Technology Masters

“Defense Post’s” methodology in ranking the companies takes into account annual revenue, R&D investment, growth trajectory, and forward-looking innovation, offering a comprehensive view of the companies truly shaping the future of autonomous defense technologies. To ensure fairness and clarity, companies owned or controlled by governments, such as Israel Aerospace Industries and Rafael, were not included.

Israel’s Elbit Systems, ranked ahead of global giant defense companies such as Italy’s Leonardo, Britain’s BAE, the US’s Lockheed Martin, and Germany’s Rheinmetall.

Elbit scores high in the ranking

The main products that saw Elbit ranked fifth are the Hermes 450 and 900 UAVs, and Starliner. The citizens of Iran became familiar with the Hermes UAVs when they took over the skies of the Islamic Republic. The Hermes 900 is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) designed for medium altitude and long duration in the sky, with a range of about 1,000 kilometers or more.

At the Israeli UAV industry national level there are many reasons for optimism with so many non-government companies, which has earned it second place after the US in the number of companies in the top 100. Israel has overtaken, among others, the UK (5 companies) and France (7).

Commentary: The fact that Israel, the tiny country in the Middle East with about 10 million inhabitants, is such a giant when it comes to high-tech defense systems, is not due to any particular desire on their part, but quite simply, the threat to their existence as a sovereign Jewish State.

For example, no state in the Middle East dares to challenge Israel in the air. In plain words, Israel dominates the Middle East from above.

One must keep in mind that 77 years ago in 1948, the Jews faced a trained air force from Syria in the north, from Jordan to the east, and from Egypt in the south. Israel’s virtually non-existent air force consisted of remnants of leftover World War 2 planes, generously allowed in by the Soviet Union for the defense of Israel. Yet, they achieved one victory after another despite these virtually insurmountable odds.

What next? With certainty, we can say that we are seeing a foreshadow of things to come. Daniel 2:40 reads: “And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.” At that time, technology will not be decisive but the Lord Himself. “Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure” (v. 45). Judgment will begin with the last Gentile superpower, with the goal of total global destruction.
