ISRAEL - 70% of Arab Palestinians Support Hamas

Palestinian support for Hamas’s October 7th attack rose by three percent, from 50% to 53%, from May to October of 2025, a recent poll by People’s Company for Polls and Survey Research (PCPSR) revealed.

The majority of respondents supported Hamas’s response to the deal, but opposed the disarmament of Hamas. Nearly three-quarters (70%) of Palestinians, including almost 80% in the West Bank and 55% in Gaza, opposed the idea of the terror group laying down arms.

Meanwhile, 60% of those surveyed expressed approval of Hamas as a governing body.

“Despite immense suffering, Gazans exhibit greater pragmatism, showing more openness to negotiated settlements and practical governance. On the other hand, civilians from the West Bank are more skeptical of external plans and more supportive of armed struggle,” the PCPSR said in a statement.

Regardless of opposition to an internal Arab force, Palestinians expressed approval of regional allies. Yemen’s Houthis were the most popular, followed by Qatar, Hezbollah, Iran, Turkey, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.

On the global stage, China received the most approval, with Russia, Spain, France, the UK, and the US trailing behind.

Commentary: Gazans who experienced the war are more inclined to a negotiated settlement than those Arab Palestinians living in Judea and Samaria.

It is significant to realize that information from both sides is readily available through the internet. That means most of the Palestinian Arabs know the truth, but rather choose the murderous terrorist organization, Hamas.

This development again shows the virtual impossibility for Arab Palestinians to have their own state. As is self-evident, the leaders place little interest in education, social welfare, and civilized ordinances; the majority still backs what is stated in its original declaration: Kill Jews.

Note, the popular slogan, “From the river to the sea, make Palestine free,” carries some truth; under Israeli sovereignty, that would indeed be true.

Israel is the only functioning civilized democracy in the entire Middle East.

What is the future? The prophet Ezekiel declares: “And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all” (Ezekiel 37:21-22).
