Why Midnight Call?

“At midnight there was a cry made,” says Matthew 25:6a. And it was before midnight—11:45 PM—when the first broadcast over a powerful European shortwave radio station aired in 1955, warning people to heed the Word of God: to come to Jesus and be saved.
There is one more reason for the existence of Midnight Call Ministries; namely, the prophetic Word. From several sources, we gather that the Bible is about one-third prophetic in nature. The word “fulfilled” appears 82 times in the Bible: 57 times in the New Testament, 16 times in the Gospel of Matthew alone.
During our many prophecy conferences in past decades, the most repeated statement we heard was, “Nothing is being said about the prophetic Word in our church.” That is why Midnight Call Ministries exists.
To Israel, Jesus warned: “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15). The Jews knew the Old Testament, but when the fulfillment took place, they could not see, hear, or believe. That was another fulfillment (Matthew 13:14).
We will continue to shout, loudly and clearly, that prophecy is being fulfilled today; the Jews are returning to the land of their fathers; the Holy Land is prospering as never before. We here at Midnight Call carefully analyze the international media, highlighting things relating to the Jews and Israel.
But today, an increasing number of people—even Christians—are paying more attention to the media than the Word of God. That is where you come in. Because less attention is being directed toward the Bible, more attention is focused on the international media. Something strange is going on. To Revelation 1:3, “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy,” a new word has been added: “see.” Apparently, reading and hearing have become secondary.
For us to continue publishing the vital work God is doing in our midst, we need your help in two ways: 1) prayer and 2) giving. All of us know that ink, paper, and postage have multiplied in price over the last few decades.
Yet now is the time, not to reduce but to increase: “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding [increasing] in the work of the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:58a). After the apostle speaks of the Rapture in 1 Thessalonians 1 and 2, he concludes: “Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work” (2 Thessalonians 2:17).
Churches are closing left and right all over the West. According to the National Church Trust (NCT), “More than 3,500 churches of various denominations have shut in the last decade” in the UK. Furthermore, hundreds of great Bible-teaching magazines have ceased publication.
Today, more than ever, we must stand and proclaim, loudly and clearly, that prophecy is being fulfilled, just as Jesus predicted: “when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8b).
Dear reader, please help us continue with the true proclamation: Only Jesus saves, and He is coming again.
