UK - Mega Chinese Embassy in London

Local Government Secretary Steve Reed formally approved plans for the building near the Tower of London after a series of delays and legal challenges.

Plans for the embassy have been plagued by objections and protests since 2018, when China’s government bought the site at Royal Mint Court, near the Tower of London, for 225 million pounds ($301 million.)

The building will cover about 215,250 square feet and replace several Chinese official buildings across London.

Starmer has stressed that while protecting national security is non-negotiable, Britain needs to keep up diplomatic dialogue and cooperation with the Asian superpower.

China has complained about the seven-year delay in approving the project, saying the U.K. was “constantly complicating and politicizing the matter.”

Commentary: This planned Chinese embassy will be the biggest in Europe. Understandably, some are alarmed. Some critics stated that the embassy “will be used as a base for espionage as well a pose a heightened threat of surveillance and intimidation of Chinese dissidents in exile.” Yet when analyzing history—even in our times—we know that all nations are spying on each other. It is normal procedure for each state to protect their own interests.

For example, giant companies in the US spy on each other all the time. That is essential to keep a competitive edge.

When it comes to GDP by Purchasing Power Parity, China is the leader, according to the IMF. For 2025, China’s is $41 trillion (United States $30.6 trillion).

Interestingly, of the 196 countries listed, Israel comes in at 51st place with $567 billion, according to Worldometers.info.

Wikipedia writes: “The economy of Israel is a highly developed free-market economy. The prosperity of Israel’s advanced economy allows the country to have a sophisticated welfare state, a powerful modern military […] and a high-technology sector competitively on par with Silicon Valley. It has the second-largest number of startup companies in the world after the United States.”

Back to the embassy: The United States built the world’s largest embassy in Baghdad, Iraq, which now has become a massive fortress to protect itself against terrorist organizations within the country.

Based on history, Communist China will grow and, doubtlessly, overshadow all other countries.

What does that mean Biblically speaking? Nothing more and nothing less than the unifying of the nations of the world. Bible prophecy was, is, and will continue be fulfilled. The nations of the world will unitedly welcome the beast.
