SWITZERLAND - Israel’s Superior Defense System

Defense & Tech by The Jerusalem Post understands that the system is David’s Sling by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. In 2019 Rafael is believed to have pulled its surface-to-air missile defense system from a Swiss tender following pressure from the United States.

David’s Sling is designed to intercept tactical ballistic missiles, medium- to long-range rockets, and cruise missiles fired at ranges between 40 to 300 km. According to a report by Switzerland’s Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) newspaper at the time, the system “was tailored to the operational requirements of Switzerland perfectly.”

Europe has increasingly turned to Israeli air defense technology over the past decade, especially after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the growing demand for rapid, combat proven systems. Several Israeli systems, including the Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Spyder, have been selected by European governments.

Germany purchased Israel’s Arrow 3 system with a landmark €4 billion agreement to provide exo atmospheric interception capability. Finland purchased David’s Sling after joining NATO, signing a deal worth more than €300 million. Central European states have also moved toward Israeli systems, with the Czech Republic receiving the Spyder medium range system, Slovakia selecting the Barak MX, and Romania is reportedly in negotiations to acquire the Iron Dome, which would make it the first European country to deploy Israel’s famous short range interceptor.

Commentary: Europe—calling itself the safest continent on earth—has been shaken by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February of 2022.

Israel is unique when it comes to military technology, as they have real-world experience. Thus, the doors to Europe are wide open.

Unfortunately, the much-praised American Patriot anti-missile system has been rather disappointing. “During the 1991 Gulf War, older Patriot systems were rushed to Israel to intercept Iraqi Scud missiles. While they were widely praised at the time for their psychological impact and keeping Israel out of the war, later analyses showed their technical effectiveness was limited, with actual warhead destruction rates estimated to be quite low.”

Switzerland is a super-rich nation, always well prepared for all circumstances. Military service is compulsory, so that even the Nazis did not dare touch Switzerland. All buildings, whether homes, churches, schools, or businesses, are equipped with a nuclear bomb shelter as mandated by the federal government.

Switzerland has remained neutral since 1815. A Google search result reads: “Switzerland has not fought a foreign war since 1499.”

It’s not surprising that the International Red Cross, with branches all over the world, originated in Switzerland.

Here we again mention that the first Zionist Congress took place in the Swiss city of Basel in 1897.

As the article states, not only Switzerland but also many European states clearly recognize the superiority of Israel’s defensive systems.

Above and beyond everything, Psalm 121:4 declares: “Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.”
