 Answer: Hal Lindsey has served on several of our conferences and I have read some of his material, including The Late Great Planet Earth. Based on my understanding, Brother Lindsey proclaims a doctrinally correct message. Quite obviously, this Rabbi Stanley is a false teacher who attempts to lead Christians back under the bondage of the Law. I have no knowledge that Hal Lindsey, or anyone else whom we associate with, ever claimed to be a prophet or to prophesy. That’s not our task. We point out and emphasize the prophetic Scripture. The Church is “built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the Chief Cornerstone” (Ephesians 2:20). They are compacted into one. However, interpretation of Scripture is where we often differ, but interpretation is not doctrine. We just pass on our understanding of certain Scriptures, and frequently, we are wrong.
