Action For Israel
“In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers”
(Jeremiah 3:18)
From the North Country
We can with reasonable assurance say that the above Scripture has been in the process of fulfillment for the past 100 years. In the first Aliyah (large scale immigration)from 1882-1903, virtually all came from Russia.During the second Aliyah, they again came from Russia and also Poland, from 1904-1914. In the third Aliyah,again from Russia (1919-1923). There was a fourth Aliyah from Poland (1924-1932), the fifth Aliyah from Germany (1933-1939), and then the largest, the sixth Aliyah from the Soviet Union in recent decades.It is not surprising that the prophet specifically mentions,“out of the land of the north.” Later in chapter16:15, Jeremiah reconfirms the geographic area from where the bulk of the children of Israel would come from, “But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.”In the meantime, the number of Jews in the land of Israelis quickly approaching the six million mark.
Testimony of Jesus
Religion is not a main concern among Jews in Israel; thus, a significant percentage of people are seeking truth, and truth is to be found. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). Furthermore, Jesus stated, “Salvation is of the Jews.” To demonstrate the testimony of Jesus is one reason why Midnight Call Ministries International operates Beth Shalom in Israel. Our presence serves to affirm that Jesus is the Messiah of Israel, He is the Savior of the world, and He is Israel’s only true hope. The Apostle Paul specifically addresses the Gentiles when speaking about the Jews, “I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy” (Romans 11:11). That is another reason why Midnight Call is present in the land of Israel. From here, we observe the daily life of the people; we see their needs and understand their searching. Whenever opportunity presents, we are there to encourage, comfort, and testify in the name of Jesus. The following is a report from our directors, Fredi and Beate Winkler, in Israel:
Dear Friends,
Here are a few words about our work in Israel.
It was 21 September 1973 when we married, and one week later,we moved to Israel. Then on 6 October 1973, the Yom Kippur War broke out.That was one reason we could not begin the construction of our long planned guest house, Beth Shalom.We had to wait until Spring 1974. Finally in October 1975, the facility was dedicated.
During those early days, we had many Jewish guests, particularly old ones who spoke German and Yiddish. Many stayed at Beth Shalom on a complimentary basis. During that time, quite a few groups of Holocaust survivors enjoyed a few weeks holiday in our guest house. Unfortunately, that generation is no longer.
Now, we concentrate more on tourists from around the world. It is our deep desire to share our love for the people of Israel. For the last ten years,many groups from the former Soviet Union, such as Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia have been our guests.
In the first sixteen years, our nine children were born in the land of Israel; three sons and six daughters, and in the meantime, all have married. Two of the children, Ariel and Sarah with her husband Shai, are full time employees at Beth Shalom. Ariel is a government certified tour guide. Sarah and Shai are responsible for preparing food for the groups that come. Besides, both of these young men are always busy repairing and renovating the facilities. During the last 38 years,we were able to complete two major renovations that included extended construction to modernize Beth Shalom. Presently, the lobby and reception area are being rebuilt. Also, we are upgrading the dining room and the kitchen. After all, the kitchen has served us for about 35 years, so it’s time for renewal.On the top floor, we have our living quarters. Since all the children have moved out, we decided to surrender some of the space. The empty rooms are being converted into two suites. This is suitable for a family with children. The suites allow access to the roof terrace. Most of the work is actually done ourselves; subsequently, it takes a little longer.
One of the aims of Beth Shalom is to assist believers in the land of Israel. Beth Shalom also serves as a place for various fellowships of believers, which use our facility to hold their meetings and conferences. One of our daughters is doing a special work, which we, unfortunately, cannot publish due to the sensitive nature. There are several laws in Israel that define evangelizing children as being illegal activity. It is understood that our public activity is limited so as not to violate or disregard Israeli law. Breaking Israeli law would lead to the cancellation of our permanent residence permit. However, we never have nor ever will deny our faith in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Action for Israel
Needless to say, their children’s native language is Hebrew, but all are capable of communicating in at least four languages. This gives Fredi and Beate the unique position of analyzing the real needs of people in Israel, particularly those who believe in Jesus. Our Action for Israel fund, however, is not limited to believers but also supports other projects that are deemed necessary as a testimony to Jews that we, as Christians, love Israel.

“For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising” (Isaiah 60:2-3).This Scripture is very fitting for today’s world. Darkness is indeed covering the earth and the people of the world. More than ever, man is relying on the products of his own imagination. Man can’t do without all the modern conveniences. Why? Because the prince of darkness, the god of this world, is preparing all the people of the world to fulfill his desire, and that is to be “worshiped.” We have the documentation in Matthew 4, when the devil offers to Jesus, “all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them,” for one specific purpose, “if thou wilt fall down and worship me.” When we study this subject, we begin to realize that the commotion we are experiencing today all over the world serves a specific target: the imitation of the perfect unity of the Church of Jesus Christ. The 2012 International Prophecy Congress will deal with this theme, “When Light Meets Darkness” in detail.

About Midnight Call Ministries
About Us
Welcome to Midnight Call Ministries’ website.
It is our desire and intention to serve you through our presentation of Bible-based messages, news features, and updates that we publish continuously. We pray that the various resources we offer will contribute to your better understanding of the Bible and to edify, exhort and encourage the Church of Jesus Christ around the world.
Dutch evangelist Dr. Wim Malgo [1922-1992] founded Midnight Call in 1955 with a four-fold purpose in mind:
- To call people to Christ
- To proclaim the Second Coming of Christ
- To prepare the Church for His coming
- To uphold the faith and warn of false doctrines
Statement of Faith
- WE BELIEVE in the divine inspiration of the whole Bible and therewith the infallibility of the Holy Scripture, which is God’s Word, and in the eternal Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- WE BELIEVE Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and shed His blood to save mankind. He died and arose bodily the third day and later ascended into heaven.
- WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ died in the place of each individual sinner and that all who believe in Him as their personal Savior are justified through His shed blood and have become children of God.
- WE BELIEVE that Israel is God’s chosen people, and that the restoration of the Jews to their own land is the fulfillment of the Word of God.
- WE BELIEVE in the pre–tribulational appearance of Jesus Christ for the Rapture of His Church (all born again believers).
- WE BELIEVE in the immortality of our souls and the resurrection of our bodies, and in the resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
Legal
Since its founding in 1970, Midnight Call Inc. has been a registered non-profit organization under section 501(c)3 of the United States’ Internal Revenue Code. Currently, the organization is incorporated in the state of South Carolina.
Why Midnight Call?
The name originates with Matthew 25:6, “…at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.” Because another ministry, Midnight Cry, was already in existence (in English) we choose the word “Call” instead.
This parable urges us to take heed and prepare for His coming.
Studying the Holy Scripture and emphasizing the prophetic Word leads us to expect the Lord’s imminent return. Furthermore, the prophets and the gospel are one: “[The church is] built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone” (Ephesians 2:20). It behooves us therefore to carefully study prophetic Scriptures in the Bible.
Our sincere desire is to contribute to a deeper and better understanding of the Bible, specifically from an international perspective. We attempt to accomplish this through our publications, the Internet, and various other avenues.
Our Task
Midnight Call Ministries is a nonprofit missionary organization, dedicated to proclaiming the entire Bible as the unfailing and eternal written Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and the unerring guide for the Christian faith.
The object of Midnight Call is to call people everywhere to Christ, to proclaim the Second Coming of Christ, to prepare Christians for His coming, and to uphold the faith and warn of false doctrines.
Midnight Call Magazine is available in twelve languages. All work done through radio, literature and missionaries is supported entirely by the gifts and free will offerings of God’s people.

Israel Tour May 2013
Promised Land Prophecy Tour
We would love to have you come with us to Israel on our next tour. At this time, we do not have a date set for our next Holy Land tour, but if you are interested in receiving information when it becomes available, please let us know by using the form at the bottom of this page.
Our 12-day tours are approximately $1995 per person and includes accommodations, breakfast and dinner each day, ground transportation via our own privately chartered bus, sightseeing with our own licensed tour guide, and all entrance fees to sights and parks covered in the itinerary. Prices are based on double occupancy; if you are coming alone, you will be assigned a roommate of the same gender unless you specify that you would like a single room and pay a single room supplement.
Although the itinerary has not yet been set, we usually visit the following places: Haifa, Caesarea, Mt. Carmel, Megiddo (Valley of Armageddon), Akko (Acre), Nazareth, Beit She'an, Mount Gilboa, the Sea of Galilee, Banias waterfall, Golan Heights, Mount of Beatitudes, Tabgha, Capernaum, Yardenit Baptismal site, Dead Sea, Qumran, Masada, Jerusalem, Temple Mount, Garden Tomb and Golgotha, Pool of Bethesda, Via Dolorosa, Church of The Holy Sepulchre, Western Wall, City of David, Yad Vashem, Mount Zion, the Upper Room, Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, model Temple, Shrine of the Book (the Dead Sea Scrolls), and Bethlehem (if possible.)
You will need to make round-trip airline reservations to Tel Aviv separately. We recommend that you use the services of Travel Concepts, but you are free to use whatever agency or online booking service you like. From past experience, roundtrip airfare has been around $1600 depending on where you are starting from.
