The Jews will be saved by the appearance of the Messiah and on the basis of His shed blood. When Jesus returns, and His feet stand upon the Mount of Olives, the Jews will look upon Him whom they had pierced. God will do something special at that moment: And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn (Zechariah 12:10). The Jews will be saved as an act of God's grace -- the same grace that saved each one of us. The cause of their salvation is Jesus, the Son of God, the Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the world. What happened to us will happen to them: Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross (Colossians 2:14).
