"Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood" (Acts 20:28).

myanmarThe above Scripture is primarily directed to the leaders of the Church and also applies to individual believers. The verse says that we must take care “unto yourselves.” Midnight Call Ministries founder, Dr. Wim Malgo, used to stress the spiritual truths with these words: “You can lead no one further on their way of the cross than you are willing to walk yourself.”

Only in our own dedicated walk with Him can we take the second step “to all the flock.” Authority is never void of obedience. The Father always answered the Son because He did His will perfectly: “I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me” (John 5:30b). “The flock” is a term designated for the believers, led by the Holy Spirit, who gave authority to His servants to be overseers, pastors, bishops, or elders. And this, for a very distinct purpose: “to feed the church of God.”

As leaders of the Church, we immediately come to the shocking conclusion that we do not possess anything to feed the Church other than what we receive. In other words, we can only pass on what we have been taught. This is not evangelization, the building of a church or an infrastructure, but the passing on of spiritual food to the existing flock, the Body of Christ, “which he has purchased with his own blood.” The Church is His, not ours.

This is the work in which our missionaries and others from all over the world have been called to do.

Paul prayed for the brethren: “I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified” (Acts 20:32).

We take this opportunity to encourage our readers to pray diligently for the outreach our Lord has entrusted to us.

MYANMAR

Greetings from Myanmar in Jesus’ name! Many thanks for your bimonthly issue of Midnight Call Magazine and News From Israel. Our prayer for you and your family is that the love of God will fill and overflow in your life and family during this season. May God guide you into the new year with His vision and Holy Spirit. And may He open the doors for us with more opportunities of partnership in His kingdom. Thank you for being our friend and partner. Please say hello for us to your wife and the saints there.

Beloved Brother,All the day long we are praying for you. Your important materials are coming in continuously. Thank you for Midnight Call, News From Israel and other books, but more are needed.

Kindly help me to have more materials to be used in the library. Unfortunately, those whose names are listed in my files are not getting their issue. I wonder if there is any problem in sending out the Midnight Call from your printer in Kenya? More letters are coming in but I cannot answer them. Kindly keep me in your heart. I love you. I take much time praying for America. Kindly mail to me more of the News From Israel, Midnight Call, with other materials.

Also, Brother, I’m praying for more books. God bless you all. I greet you in Jesus’ Name. [Unfortunately not receiving mail is not unusual, particularly in Africa. Of course, we are powerless to do anything about that, but we must present this issue to the Lord in prayer.—Editor]

KENYARev. Lazarus M. WanjalaDear Friend in the Lord, Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for the great work of the Lord that you are doing. Your labor will never be in vain; you will reap your reward kenya1that you have done in this world.

Our church members are thankful for the support you sent, which enabled us to buy a church plot in Mabusi. I, and the whole organization love you, and they do pray for you and your family. Also, we do pray for MCM to prosper greatly. We appreciate from the heart what God enabled to put in you.

Testimony

On 14th to 20th December 2006, we held a youth seminar in Mayanga Church. I was one of the teachers. The following topics were presented by different pastors: holiness, obedience, repentance, marriage, the work of the Holy Spirit and praising and worshiping. We felt the presence of God. I gave out 200 Midnight Call Magazines to the youth group. We are praying for you.
