Appointed By God

Dear Mr. Froese:

I join you, Dave Hunt, T.A. McMahon, and many others for whom I have great respect, in approaching new and old ideas with the ongoing human challenge of not only asking “what” to believe, but perhaps more importantly, “whom” to believe.

Thus, I’m very interested in your views about who is James Lloyd and Christian Media, Box 448, Jacksonville, OR 97530? And how do you see his selfproclaimed status as being “appointed by God” as an endtimes prophet?

One interesting prophecy of his is that Dr. Boutros Boutros- Ghali will be the eighth Secretary/General of the UN (after Kofi Annon being removed prior to term expiration due to corruption) and thus, becomes the Antichrist as per Revelation 17:10-11. Also, Mr. Lloyd argues extensively as pre-Rapture being false teaching and is, in fact, a cult being in gross error.

Thank you again for Midnight Call and the work you do.

Answer: Every child of God has been “appointed by God”; however, the Bible does not allow for a special ministry position as an endtimes prophet because God in past times spoke by the prophets, but in these last days, he has spoken unto us by His Son (Hebrews 1:1-2). This is a completed task! No more prophecies are needed! Peter confirmed: “We have also a more sure word of prophecy” (2 Peter 1:19). He did not say we are going to receive the “sure word of prophecy” some time in the future. The Bible, all 66 books, is the full counsel of God for man. Nothing needs to be added, and nothing needs to be taken away.
