Now more than ever, Israel is being thrust into the spotlight of the world. That fact alone should cause even the skeptic to pay attention, to see that something else is going on today that never happened before. Why Israel?
In our last issue, we published some information from the United Nations Security Council. We noted that from the 175 resolutions by the Security Council, only 4 were directed against the interest of Arab states, while 97 resolutions were against Israel.
One would think that with the horrible atrocities committed in Syria and the ongoing slaughter and rebellion in many Arab League countries, this would cause the U.N. to issue resolutions condemning excessive violence. But, that is not what is happening. The overwhelming majority of news media from around the world continues to condemn Israel for doing something that all nations do: construct roads, build housing and shopping centers, with all the modern infrastructure required. But for Jews to construct housing in the land of Israel, they apparently need permission from all nations of the world. Right now, all countries agree wholeheartedly that Arab-Palestinians should be permitted to settle in Israeli territory, but not Jews.
That is why Israel is different, and why our theme Why Israel Matters is vitally important—not just for Israel but for the United States and the rest of the world as well.

Meet The Speakers

Norbert Lieth			From Germany, we have Norbert Lieth. He is a graduate of Midnight Call Bible School in Montevideo, Uruguay. He has served as Midnight Call’s missionary in several South American countries. Norbert Lieth is the lead speaker for Midnight Call Ministries throughout Europe.
Wilfred Hahn			Wilfred Hahn comes from Canada. He is known for his writings and insights on present-day world economic and money trends, viewed from a Biblical perspective. He has global investment industry experience spanning three decades, having held various executive positions from Director of Research for a major Wall Street firm, to Chairman of Canada’s largest global investment group.
Arno Froese			Arno Froese is the executive director of Midnight Call Ministries U.S.A. and editor-in-chief of the critically acclaimed prophetic magazines Midnight Call and News from Israel. He has authored a number of well-received books, and has sponsored many prophecy conferences in the U.S., Canada and Israel.
James Walker			James Walker, the president of Watchman Fellowship, is a former fourth generation Mormon with over twenty years of ministry experience in the field of Christian counter-cult evangelism, apologetics, and discernment. He has been interviewed as an expert on new religious movements and cults on a variety of network television programs including Nightline, ABC World News Tonight and The News Hour with Jim Lehrer. He has spoken at hundreds of churches, colleges, universities, and seminaries throughout the United States and internationally.
Dr. David R. Regan			Dr. David R. Reagan serves as the Senior Evangelist for Lamb & Lion Ministries. He is a native Texan, married and the father of two daughters. He has written 11 books, including The Man of Lawlessness, Wrath & Glory: The Meaning of Revelation, and Living for Christ in the End Times. Dave is the host of Lamb & Lion's weekly television program called Christ in Prophecy.
